Using NBIC's resources to conduct a pre-employment background check could not be easier! Once your initial application is completed the process is very straightforward.

Have the applicant complete your application and an approved notification & release form (we provide these one page forms free to our clients).

Review the application for completeness and check it for 'red flags'. Prior experience, education and professional & personal references should all be reviewed and verified. Eliminate applicants that do not meet your basic criteria, or those where the application is fraudulent.

Optionally, conduct an initial interview. If the applicant appears to be qualified, the next step is simple...

Provide the necessary identification information about the applicant to NBIC. You can submit your requests right here online in our exclusive clients area, by fax (24 hours a day, seven days a week) or by phone (during normal business hours). We complete the background work you request and submit a written report to you. Reports can be returned by fax or emailed to you in a PDF (Portable Document Format) so you can view or print it with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. In the alternative, we will mail a copy of the report to you.

After receiving the reports for prospective applicants, you eliminate those who may not meet your hiring criteria and notify them of your decision. We even provide you with a prepared letter to use if you are denying them based on information in our reports.

Finally, conduct whatever 'follow up' interviews or checks are necessary to make your final choice of the best applicant.

Following this process will usually ensure a 'level playing field' and will help you feel comfortable that you have hired the best applicant(s).
